Under an agreement announced today, Cobham Hall School in Kent will join the four existing schools of the Mill Hill School Foundation to form an enlarged educational charity. Cobham Hall employs over 100 staff and educates around 150 boarding and day pupils, using the Grade 1 Listed Tudor mansion house and extensive grounds that previously formed the ancestral home of the Earl of Darnley. The Mill Hill School Foundation has over 1600 boarding and day pupils at its schools in North-West London. There are plans for the gradual growth of pupil numbers at Cobham Hall, and a programme of investment to preserve and enhance its facilities.
Elliot Lipton, Chair of Governors at Mill Hill commented “This is a bringing together of like-minded schools that further strengthens the excellent education provided”. Martin Pennell, Chair of Governors at Cobham Hall added “Cobham Hall is delighted to be joining forces with Mill Hill and is confident of a strong future ahead”.
