In late September, Cobham Hall was inspected by The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). We are delighted that despite all the disruption from the last two years, the outcome was positive.
The first section reports upon the quality of education provided, the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils, welfare, health and safety, the suitability of staff and premises, the boarding provision and the quality of leadership and management. We are very pleased that the School was judged to be fully compliant with respect to all of these regulatory standards.
The second section reports on educational quality and focuses specifically upon two key areas; the quality of the pupils’ academic and other achievements and the quality of the pupils personal development. We have achieved a good for academic and other achievements and an excellent for personal development.
Headmistress, Mrs Barrett, commented, “We are delighted that the inspectors recognised our School’s many strengths. We are passionate that our students’ education does not just involve academic success but equally important is our focus on 21st Century lifelong learning skills; highlighted by the World Economic Forum as being necessary for young people to be able to approach complex challenges and thrive in an ever-changing environment. Our skills-based education was recognised as an area of excellence by the inspectors. At Cobham Hall, we are committed to offering the best academic and character education for all of our students and we welcome the recommendations this inspection has given us to ensure we continue to work towards raising standards and ensuring educational challenge for all.
