A fantastic array of bakes were on display at the start of our Macmillan ‘Big Coffee Morning’ in September. Staff and students excelled themselves baking delicious treats for all to enjoy.
The event began on Thursday with Sixth Form and staff enjoying coffee and cake, and the sale was then opened up to the whole school and, after school, to parents and guardians, taking place over two days.
Organised by our Laboratory Technician, Mrs Howard, the homemade bakes were entered into a tasting competition, with the top entries as follows:
=1st – Mrs Howard’s Chocolate Guinness Cake and Miss Caro’s Rhubarb, Ginger and Honey Cake
2nd – Mrs Howard’s Strawberry and Pepper Fancy
3rd – Mr Hosford’s Victoria Sandwich Cake
In total, over £560 was raised, and will be topped up to an incredible donation of £1000 by our Round Square fund.
