Our students have been recognised for their hard work whist volunteering and being part of this year’s Big Help Out Project around Cobham Village. Congratulations to Ciko (Year 9), Eniola (Year 9), Reagan (Year 10), Delmaria (Year 10), Yukiko (Year 9) and Nattakarn (Year 12) for this achievement.
Nattakarn (Ruk) speaks about her experience:
“It has truly been an honour for me to be part of the Big Help Out Project. Litter picking and doing community service around Cobham Village was an experience I could never forget. I started litter picking along the roads, pubs, church, and sports field. It was a very long day, however, it was lovely to see how much litter I had picked up since the beginning and that made me feel really delighted to have created a positive impact on our community. I am very glad to see our village with less litter, and while I was litter picking near a pub, a lovely elderly couple came up to me and said “thank you for doing this”. This really warms my heart and kept me going. After we finished litter picking, my friends and I walked back to school, and we managed to see the grounds and fields around Cobham, they were magnificent. We had our packed lunch just outside the church and danced when we finished litter picking.
I felt incredibly grateful to be awarded this badge from the Big Help Out Project which is a very prestigious volunteering event for King Charles’ Coronation.”
